Intérieur Réveillé, 2022-2023, 75x46x72cm, Twelve lightcollages of x-ray photos with water transferred 19th century images of etchings behind black linen passe-partout in early 20th century Queen Anne table with led light armatures.

These small works are transparent collages on a lightbox and were made between 2022-2023. All etchings are direct transfers from original 19th century and early twentieth century books. The transfer procedure is a unique technique developed by Rayastre and involves careful washing with water and transfer to adhesive tape. There is no computer or photocopier involved in this process, but is fully done by hand. The adhesive tape with the transferred image is attached to x-ray medical photos.
